Stylize Text Caret?

Is there any way to change the style of the text caret (cursor) in a gtk3
application pragmatically? I was wanting to make the text caret within a
text entry wider and a specific color but was unsure where to look in the
docs or what this would be referred to as. Thank you for any and all
assistance

Although I don't know the answer, I'll note that you have to watch
carefully for users with a different set of colours than you, and for
users who have chosen a specific style for accessibility reasons. For
example, I don't have a caret but a vertical bar, and can't deal with
the cursor blinking.
