I have finally managed (to a point ) to build gtk+-2.16.3 from source
but have a problem with some of the libgio linking.
When I run:
$ sudo make install
I get the following errors:
make install-data-hook
mkdir -p -- /usr/local/etc/gtk-2.0
g_module_open() failed for
