and should just follow the id naming
* deprecate id and path and add a new pathid with the new
semantic. This way you never break the compat but you can update the
documentation and hopefully phase out the use of the old arguments over
time...

usages is going to take a while.
I'm copying the desktop-devel-list too because GNOME 2.24 is due next
week and it's likely that several GNOME desktop applications have not
been updated for those changes
