Congradulations to Steve Giuntoli fellow GTS'er for surviving his 1st
official/leagal/closed course C.C.S. race at Blackhawk Farms Raceway Sat.
Steve was riding his Buell and started in I believe 47th grid position (grid
position determined by 1st to last registration) and had moved up to

I don't think the ABS problem is as wide spread as some might think. last I
knew there where well over 100 people subscribed to the list and less than
20 that I know of have had ABS problems. that is still a high failure rate,
but if the system works when you get the bike and you keep the fluid

First, welcome. Second, I must be the only one on this list who thinks his
GTS is light. I come from a Concours, and let me tell you...that bike is
heavy and it only weighs about 60 lbs more than the GTS.

Hey Jim, that's really good news. You should know I sold my Yamaha TDM to buy
my GTS.
So you're getting really close!

Hi Guys, I just installed The ventura sport rack on the GTS , easy to install, with
a nice streamline fit.Doesn't

Most of the time when my lights don't work it's the bulb.
For $2 change the bulbs. If that doesn't work THEN start taking off body
panels and looking for fuses, bare wires and the like. But it'll really get
you if it's the bulbs. Plus its a really simple circuit and like bob was

October 2 Motorcycle Consumer News is holding an informal ride for its staff
and readers. The ride begins at MCN headquarters in Lake Forest, CA (near the
intersection of I-5 and I-405) at 7:30am.
This hasn't been done before and we have no idea how many readers will show
up. We fear too many.
Myself and several others will be riding up to Waynesboro Va. via the B. R.
Parkway on Friday Oct 15th from Charlotte NC. Saturday is still not mapped
but will probably take us over into WVa area somewhere and staying in
Waynesboro again Sat. night and return to Charlotte NC via the Parkway on

I would probably check the ground circuit for the tail/brake ligth assembly
first, for a bad or loose connection. This is a common demoninator between
the two circuits, so it is a good place to start. Connect and ohm meter

A Prayer for the Stressed.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage
to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies
