Shouldn't it be rather easy to package GNUsocial? https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social/blob/master/INSTALL All we might need are some php dependencies, and the whole thing would be handled by a service anyway if we assume standard layouts of tables etc. It looks way easier than Mastodon which
