Hi Matthew,

what issues are they having? We would need more information about that to fix
it.

In some specific computers in Windows 10 - 64 bits with a concrete
configuration there has been a problem when installing, that we haven't been
able to reproduce it (only a few users have reported it). The solution is to
download the portable version as Sergio told you.

The portable version has to be unzipped in a path without spaces, and it
doesn't have to be directly in C:\. For example, you can create a
"gvSIG-desktop" folder and move the "gvSIG-desktop-2.3.1." folder of the
portable version to that folder.

Let us know if it works and which were the problems.

Best regards,

The installation of gvSIG seems to be an issue for many people. This should be
something that is focused on for ease of access by the creators so it's readily

downloading it, do you think they'll want to continue using it when then are
more options out there for free use?

Hi Amin,

are you using the portable version? In that case it can't be directly in
C:\ and you have to avoid spaces or accents at the path (perhaps your
user folder has any space, and the desktop is in your user folder).

For example you can create a "gvSIG" folder in C:\ and then move the
"gvSIG-desktop-2.3.1-2501-final." folder to that "gvSIG" one.

It will work at that way.

Best regards,
  Mario
