Nh, don't switch your scheme! Overdying is easy, but you may only get a dark red rust rather than that deep pumpkin in the original. I frequently use the Bronze color Procion dye from Dharma to tone colors down a bit. It really depends on how deep your red is, but PR-33 (rust brown)

The biggest complaint I have heard about the cable ties is that if the ends are not properly treated (i.e. rounded off, melted or otherwise), they may still poke through. (I have seen this on many other's garments) As you know once this happens, it is hard to render a repair that looks very
