On the subject of machine feet/accessories, I think a ruffler is a good idea for Victorian sewing. You may be able to buy an antique one that you can use on your current machine. One foot I use a lot is the #10. For topstitching it's great. I also like the #21 or #22 (can't remember exactly). It ha
