My mother taught to just add them to the soil's surface. We always added it
after the coffee grounds had cooled. I have had some house plants for over
20 years.

How much coffee grounds is too much? Does it have to be mixed into the
dirt or can you add it to something already in the pot?
I generate a lot of coffee grounds - if the have further use I'd love
to know how!
