I'm sorry, but this is complete bunkum!!!

I've been looking into uniforms more than usual lately, as I've been doing
lots of work for an army museum.

Some aspects of the cut did not change, but the uniform patterns for all
sections of the british services changed drastically between 1800 and 1900,
and
even more drastically after the turn of the century. (Obviously, army and
navy, because of course the raf didn't exist till 1918). Also, some aspects
of
cut appear not to have changed when you look at the uniform (such as the
underarm), when in reality it was completely different.

The first places to contact in a search for info on rifles uniforms (it's
the 95th, btw, not to be confused with the 60th (Royal Americans) - extrememly
similar uniforms, but different facings and some differences in the lacing)
would be the national army museum, and the imperial war museum, which may have
something. From memory, the green howards museum may have something.

This part of the NA may be able to help you too -

Obviously, if you're actually looking for the uniforms that appear in the tv
shows, rather than a correct historical one, then the best thing to do is
simply to get hold of lots of pictures of those uniforms, and watch the tv
programs on dvd (so you can pause and zoom). Not all of the uniforms in the
tv
show were completely accurate (for example, the back of sharpe's dolman in the
iIndian ones is simply an abomination!).

If you need any other help or pointers, feel free to mail me off list - I'll
try to get back to you as quickly as possible, but there may be a brief
delay because I get married at the end of next week, and I'm still making my
wedding dress :o)

Hmm, yes, but uniforms of the 1700-1800s did not move much, only some of the

structuring changed. In fact British Admiralty uniforms of the 1930s would
not
have seemed too far out of place in the Regency period,
