The puffs can be the chemise pulled through, or a fake chemise sleeve tacked
inside so it does not shift. You are doing Ren Faire, so the "look" is
improtant. If you don't want to be pulling on your sleeves all day, go for
the fake inner sleeve.

With my dress design, there will be puffs and slashes in the sleeves,
shoulder rolls and bodice front and back. However, in cosideration of how
the layers go onto the body: Chemise, corset and farthingale, then
bodice/sleeves/skirts... where do the puffs come from in the bodice? Are
they false puffs? If they are false, it would be interesting to make them
interchangeable so I can change the colors/look of the dress. Also, if they
are false puffs, I may consider doing the same to the shoulder roll and
sleeve puffs. Thanks in advance!
