Re: [h-cost] Are you guys willing to test a Facebook business page?

2011-03-29 Thread Sharon Henderson
I'm glad you did this, Fran! I didn't get the Captcha dialog either, but
that's probably because I was logged in to my page at the time. I'll try
later with a different account to see if I get captcha'd when not logged
in.

[h-cost] Off-topic - Bartitsu documentary

2011-03-29 Thread Tiberius Clausewitz
This isn't really a costume thing, but since there are many Victorian and
Edwardian enthusiasts in this list, I think I should post a link to this
recently-released DVD documentary about the turn-of-the-century martial art:

http://www.freelanceacademypress.com/bartitsu.aspx

At least it could be a pretty nice source of ideas on how to whack people
around while you're in costume. ;)

[h-cost] 15th-17th c. Textiles to Fondle for Storage Fundraiser.

2011-03-29 Thread Kimiko Small
This came across another group I'm in, and I instantly thought of the folks
here.

It is a fund raiser for textile storage and maybe conservation, but they are
allowing folks who donate the opportunity to feel and view in person the
textiles that will end up in storage.
