My theater's costume collection also has a stole, or scarf, or shoulder drape (we're not sure how it was meant to be worn) with two minks sewn side-by-side and a single mink below. There are no clips, but the single mink has a cord with crocheted ball hanging from the underside. --Ruth

Definitely Filipino clipped butterfly sleeves.Here are some instructions, as demonstrated on a Barbie doll. The notes indicate this was how the author's mother did them on people size clothes, which she's adapted for the doll.

The critter would have a snap/ball at the other end to hold him in place. Also, their jaws were often clips. Really strong clips. I have a red fox one. I wished my aunt had given me the gray fox (but my cousin got it, so that's ok!). The word you wanted was intact, not in tack. :)
