However, 1.4.8 is packaged for RHEL6. Maybe you can simply perform an rpmbuild on the .src ? As the maintainer of haproxy in EPEL, I would be happy to update haproxy to the 1.4.x in EPEL if 1.4 is backward compatible with the 1.3 configuration files. Yes, 1.4 is still compatible with older versions (back to at least 1.1). That's why I'm somtimes particularly picky about the config file syntax, I want as much as possible to keep this compatibility. Sounds good, I'll update those packages in EPEL then. It will probably be at least week or so before I get to it. I'll be at a conference until next week. enjoy, -jeremy -- Jeremy Hinegardner jer...@hinegardner.org

Ah, sorry my mistake, it's in the EPEL Testing repositories, which are generally stable in my experience, but you may not want to risk it Chris Angelo Höngens wrote: On 25-10-2010 11:00, Chris Sarginson wrote: You could also use the HAProxy RPMs available on EPEL (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/FAQ#What_is_EPEL.3F) which were at 1.4.8 the last time that I checked - they're signed, and it takes the stressing of building away from yourself. I'd like that, but it seems for RHEL5, haproxy-1.3.25-1 is latest: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/x86_64/repoview/haproxy.html
