The Dutch mediumwave transmitter on 828 kHz is currently on the air with an
engineering test, identifying as Radio Paradijs 828. This is a surprise,
as the licence for this frequency was awarded to a station called Radio
Tropical. Radio Paradijs is another of the stations run by licence holder
They're also IDing in English and asking for reports to Quality Radio bv, PO
Box 11122, 3505 BC Utrecht, The Netherlands. The format is oldies (a great
selection) and some of the jingles are from the 1960's. It feels like I'm in
a time warp - sounds just like one of the old offshore stations :-)
Hello John, as far as I know you are the first DXer to
hear and getting ID on this peruvian pirate outside
Quito, Ecuador. I have heard the station during many
yers on many frequencys and it took me years to get
the QTH. A DXer from Japan thereafter(I think it was
TIN) visited Chiclayo and told us
Getting some nice DX during the early morning hours
here in the White Mountains, though today conditions
were so-so. Very windy outdoors creating static across
my longwires!
