Just went through my tape and have Morse code in two speeds with definite
K-E-V-A from 0700 to 0755, February 20/05 on 1240 kHz. Signal varied from nil
to good, but
I never had any discernable voice of any station during the hour listening

Interesting to note, my French friend Michel Lacroix was listening Saturday Feb
19 at 1935 UT Radio Nacional de Espana, Noblejas while I received Radio
Nacional do Brasil. Same time Radio Aparecida noted on 11855- and 6135 kHz here
in SW of Finland. That´s a question of propagation, I suppose.
ORTM Bamako (Kati) noted Feb 16 at 0630 on 4783,35 kHz.

Sunday Feb 20 18 UTC I tried to hear Voice of Nigeria, Ikorodu on several
recently reported frequencies. Result was, only one frequency 15120 kHz with a
five minute newsbulletin in English followed by a letter-box prpgramme was
heard. Audio was very nice, not muffled or distorted.
No sign of 96
Nothing earth shattering to report, but nice to get back at the dials for a
stretch. Most of the loggings were made using my newest rig, the
Icom 756 Pro2 transceiver. Something totally new for me, with it's
spectrum display. Performance is pretty much a toss up on HF between it
and the Ten Te
