by others. I can't distinguish the language, but it's not Indonesian or
Chinese. It could be Burmese, but I can't identify Burmese either. The
format of the program sounds like the
Guyana, 3291.13, Voice of Guyana, 0937-0947 At tune in, noted Bollywood
type music. Other types including
Stateside mor presented. Between tuens, a man gives TC's in English.
Signal was good as expected since the
morning grayline was just passing Guyana according to the GeoClock program.

Cuba, 9505, Radio Rebelde, 1015-1037 Noted a parallel program as broadcast
on Radio Rebelde of 5025 KHz.
Signal on 9505 was very poor. I was hoping to hear Radio Tacna here, but
instead heard Rebelde. Don't know
if the transmission on 9505 is a spur or an actual relay. I have Cuba
listed on
Ascension Islands Relay, 9525, Radio Star, Liberia, 0810-0900 Noted a series
of features and news during period. Much of the program was in English with
ID's by a woman as, This is Star Radio, your news and information radio
station. At 0815 a program of messages from and to relatives. Later
Peru, 5014.50, Radio Aultura, 1049-1100 Noted two men Spanish comments and
music with mentions of Peru.

I must say that the signal quality of

Japanese language comments an features during period. Signal was fair, but

China, 3280, Voice of Pujiang, 1200-12.. Noted both a man an woman in
Chinese comments this morning. Signal at 1207 is still very weak compared
to reception on Feb 11 when it was fair around this time. The format of the
program seems to be news with recorded seqments here and there. Station's
Bolivia, 4716.73, Radio Yura, 0010-0020 Noted some music at 0010. At 0011
a man in
Spanish comments. He continues beyond 0020. Sometimes the man in comments
takes long pauses which cause me to think he's gone, but just when I reach
for the tuning dail, he pops back up in comments. Signal was
Peru, 5939.28, Radio Melodia, 1046-1053 Noted the usual format of news and
comments in Spanish. And as usual, the signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland,

Indonesia, 4871, RRI wamena, 1053-1120 Music noted until 1158 when woman
gives ID. On the hour news. At the end of the news, a
Uganda, 4976, Radio Uganda, 0323-0330 ...you are tuned to Radio Uganda.
This ID followed by English comments by a man until about 0328 when music
present. Signal is good, but there's a couple of Hets nearby that spoils
the listening. At 0330 canned Promo and ID for Radio Uganda.

the 4 meg band. Noted Radio Apintie with music. At 0334 noted a canned ID
by a young girl as, ...Radio Apintie After music continues. Signal

Unid, 5035, 0355-0405 Noted a weak signal here of persons in comments and
discussions. Signal is threshold and very difficult to make out the
language. I was tempted to report this as the Central
African Republic, but it could be someone else too. Anyway, signal doesn't
seem to want to get any
Sudan, 4750, Radio Peace, 0408-0415 Noted a program of African type music
and comments. At 0415 canned ID in English by a man, ...4750, Thank you
for listening to Radio This is Radio Peace. Off the air at 0415 UTC.
Signal was fair but there's a lot of stuff on this freq. (Chuck Bolland,
Papua New Guinea, 3385, Radio East New Britain, 1034-1045 Noted two women in
Pidgin discourse until about 1140. Then single woman in English for a few
minutes. Finally a man comes aboard with Pidgin comments and some music.
Signal was good at tune in, but fade to poor by 1045 in Clewiston,
Indonesia, 3976.02, RRI Pontianak, 1053-1115 Beginning with possibly the
Qu'ran being sung by a woman(?) until 1102. Then a man sings the Qu'ran
until 1108. At that time, a canned ID by a man, which I wasn't recording at
the time. This followed by pop music and Indonesian comments from a
China, 4460, People's Broadcasting Station, 1128-1135 Noted comments by a
woman with military type music as a bridge. Signal was fair which seemed to

woman in unknown language. Singing during period which sounded like that
heard from Pacific islands or Papua New Guinea. At 1200 woman in news.
This time the language sounded like Hindi (is it Hindu or Hindi?) This is
Peru, 3172.61, Radio Municipal Panao, 1054-1100 Noted a man
in Spanish comments with Huaynos music. Signal was fair

There was a power failure in my neighborhood this morning
which started at 1030 UTC (Probably maintenance?), so I got
up and did some DC DXing on my NRD545. Heard the following
toughies usually for me:
Peru, 4866.63, Radio Virgen Del Carmen, 1117-1130 Noted
mainly Huaynos music with
Indonesia, 3325, RRI Palangkarya, 1100-1200 Indonesian
comments by a woman and man. At 1200 news given by a man.
Noticed Tsumani mentioned often. Signal was poor(Chuck
