Bjarne is The World's Northernmost DX-er and
perhaps I´m the only DXer living on the equator.
I bought the Drake SPR-4 when it was new but I
don´t remember having audio problems. I now have
two receivers: Ten Tec RX 350D and NRD 535. NRD

WRRB, USA (sometimes with spanish early evenings)
Radio Virgen de Remedios, Bolivia (5745.29 kHz,
in the evenings)
Family Radio (noted them with spanish and close

Impacto beetween 0300 - 0400 UTC tuesday to
friday with several IDs around 0400 UTC. Before

Hi Mikey! I have the same experience as you. I
have lived here in Quito, Ecuador for 8 years now
and the only TA signal with audio I have noted is
1521 kHz, Arab speaking. Sometimes there is
something on 1602 kHz. When I had my home in
Sweden, the westcoast, I logged ton´s of LA
stations on

If you hould like going out hunting stations on
4780 kHz I can tell you that Radio Oriental, Tena
(Ecuador) was active with good signal just some
moments ago on 4781.61. A very weak signal on
4779.9x kHz is perhaps Radio Coatán (Guatemala)
and you can also try Radio Tacana (Bolivia) on
4781.35

LA saturday morning the ID was there again, this
time a little bit clearer. Serena, Corona and
Serrano (our guesses) was in

weak and in the background music style Banda del
Pueblo. I´m not excluding Andean countries but
