Russia, 5920, Radio Rossii, 0945-1000 With the usual small talk between
male and
female individuals commenting on the music and the situation. Lot's of
laughter going
on with an occassional ID as "Radio Rossii". Signal was good with no notice
of WBOH
yet. (Chuck Bolland, August 29, 2008)

Malaysia, 6049.68, Radio Television Malaysia, 1003-1015, Noted a female in
Iban(scheduled language). At 1010 music heard. Signal is threshold and
barely audible
at this point. Don't expect it to fade in any better. (Chuck Bolland,
August 29, 2008)

China, 6115, Voice of the Strait, 1020-1035 Noted a male in Chinese language
comments which was probably news since I heard the name "Obama" mentioned.
Checked the parallel of 7280 KHz which was slightly better than 6115 KHz.
Both
freqs were good however. (Chuck Bolland, August 29, 2008)

Peru, 5039.21, Radio Libertad, 1037-1055, I realize that I reported this
yesterday,
but I am really tickled that I can hear it again today at this late time.
Noted Huaynos
music up until 1039 UTC at which time a male comments in Spanish. Heard a
live
ID, "Radio Libertad" at 1042 by a male. During the period from 1044 to 1055
couldn't copy much due to a sharp drop in the signal strength to threshold.
(Chuck Bolland, August 29, 2008)

Peru, 4835.44, Radio Maranon, 1047-1100 With a number of persons in Spanish
language comments which seemed to be recorded/canned. At 1050 music
switched
on. Yelpping or cheering over the music by the DJ's. At 1054 a canned ID
as, "Radio
Maranon", then into more music. Signal was threshold. (Chuck Bolland,
August 29, 2008)

Note: The Magna application has been updated with current data. In
addition,
a couple of new sort routines have been build. On the "Sort by Freq"
routine
there's a function that shows graphically, a time line when a Radio Station
is
faded in and faded out at YOUR location. You can download this free
application
at http://www.orchidcitysoftware.com/IMAGE59.HTML

There are no restrictions on the use of the Magna application.

BRAZIL 6080.05 R. Anhanguera, Goiania (pres.) 0934 ZY Pop mx w/M anncr in PT
between songs. 0945 ad block but seemed to be mixing w/HCJB. 5 minutes later
it appeared Novas de Paz showed up and was dominating. (29 August)

UNID. 3175.6v Just a carrier here from 1004-1043 drifting down slowly. Never
did get any audio. Doubt the OA, but who knows. (29 August)

USA (ALASKA) 6890 KNLS 1053 nice EG ID over Pop mx at t/in "Bringing you the
music of our time and the message from ??, this is ??, KNLS", a little Pop mx,
then another ID w/sked a minute later. Fair. (29 August)

CHINA 9575 Firedrake First found on this freq, and found on 9780 while
looking for KNLS, then did some bandscans for other freqs. Between 1050-1200,
found on the following freqs: 7280, 7470, 9300, 9575, 9680, 9780, 11560,
11590, 11665, 11710, 11785, 11825, 11840, 11990, 12040, 13840, 14410, 15030,
and 15255. At 1203, OCs were found on 9300 and 14410. Later at 1227, found on
15465 and 13710. Most all freqs were strong. Sounds like R. Moscow of old
w/their freq useage. (29 August)
