I have been listening to a station here on 4760 for about the last half
hour after 1100 GMT and am wondering if this isn't AIR Chennai I am
hearing.
Hearing what sounds like Indian subcontinent music with male announcer
in unknown dialect at times. Fading at times but sometimes clearly
audible

Since an antipodal path length is 12,500 miles and the error between the
true antipode and the antipode proposed earlier by Mr. Giella is over 3,000
miles, I know I would not consider his example to be anywhere near
antipodal.
I don't know of any previous claims that antipodal effect extend that
Antipodal Focusing, how many SW hops is considered in the 'error margin'
voids the definition being met?
1 hop seems to me well within tolerances, but hop lengths do vary with
frequency (unless you are using a 'ground grazing' HRSxxx antenna type).
An SW hop is 200 ... 300 kms (400 ... 600 kms
