about events, obituary anmts, 2108 OM e YL talks, 2115-2125 local pop music. 
Tune in CW QRM, fady and unreadable, but signal improved from around 2115, 
SINPO at 2125 was 33433, readable (LOB-B). 

 

9705, Niger, Voix du Sahel-Niamey(pres.), 18-Apr. French 2204-2218 Alternating 
short OM talks and classic Reggae music, seems all this selection was Bob 
Marley. Some 9710 QRM, 23332 (LOB-B).

 

11710, Argentina, R.Argentina Exterior, General Pacheco; 18-Apr. Japanese 
1050-1200 OM and YL talks and some Tango music selections, wonderful Astor 
Piazzola at 1119. Some 11720 splatter, from 1100 weak underneath QRM from 
Chinese station, around at 1115 SINPO 5 (LOB-B).

Peru, 4775.04, Radio Tarma, 0950-1000, At tune in, noted flute type music 
until
0954.  At that time thought I could hear a male in Spanish comments in the 
noise.  Then

Korea, North, 9650, Voice of Korea, 1020-1030  Noted a male in Japanese 
Language
comments who is joined by a female, shortly.  At 1124, Choral music 
presented.  Signal

Unid, 9765, 1030-1100,  Noted a female in long comments with a male briefly 
commenting.
Could not make out the language, but it wasn't English.  I am thinking this 
might be
the Voice of Russia, but signal is very muffled.  Music presented at 1048 
and it
sounds like something that would be broadcast on Voice of Russia?   You 
know, like soy with no favor.  Signal begins to drop away as it gets closer 
to the hour from a poor to

[HCDX] Ecos del Torbes

This Venezuelan was mentioned as active 1000-0400 on shortwave in a previous 
message related to an unid Portuguese speaker on 15410. Trying to comment on 
this, my message did not come through. So here goes again.
As most of you know, this station ceased operations on shortwave several years 
ago. When active, they were on 4980 at 0900-1300 and again from 2000-0400, 
whereas 9640 used to be on the air at 1300-1900 approximately.  Similar info 
can be found for instance in the 1999 edition of PWBR.

[HCDX] Gabon 4777 2x harmonic

Noted on 16 April at 1840 the Gabon transmitter
on 4777 is putting out weak/fair level harmonic
on 9554. Mainly only a carrier as the fundamental
was low modulated. Simultaneously signed off
at about 1900.
