[HCDX] Glenn Hauser logs August 31, 2020
** AUSTRALIA. 11900, Aug 31 at 1354, south Asian music and then talk by YL in unrecognizable language; S7-S9, outstanding SSOB except for the Cubans and nons. 1359-1400*, Reach Beyond, Australia, sign-off in English sounding more `merican than `strine, not Ecuadorian. Now to figure out language: Day 2 = Monday at 1345-1400 Aoki/NDXC shows it is Cha; EiBi shows CHG --- I guess they both refer to Chhattisgarhi as in WRTH 2020 but now outdated B-19 sked had no such DOW, TOD, nor frequency for it. But the revised A-20 update as of May 26 confirms it. Now, where and how many Chhattisgarhi speakers are there? EiBi`s readme.txt shows: ``CHG Chhattisgarhi: India-Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar (13m) [hne]`` So there we have three different abbrs. for this obscure language but spoken by more than the population of e.g. Illinois, who must be Christianized! 11825, but wait, there`s more: Mon Aug 31 at 1449, gospel huxter in English also bigsig S7-S9. While E Asian signals like CNR1 jammers are JBA carriers. This is RBA daily at 1430-1500 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CANADA [and non]. 7850-USB, Aug 31 at 0610, CHU is weak, but even weaker is CCI from 2-way USB almost same frequency, maybe Brazilian or Spanish. Not first time such intrusion has been detected (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, Aug 31 at 1355-1359: none audible in the 16s, 15s, 14s, 13s, 12s, until JBA carriers: 11500, 11460, 11440, 11170, 11150, 11120, 11100; none in the 10s; 9300; finally 9215 music achieves S3-S5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 4765, Aug 31 at 0238, no signal from R. Progreso, quick check on TWR Boa Vista just as I am mentioning its absence on WOR. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6145 & 6100, UT Mon Aug 31 at 0616, RHC `DXers Unlimited`, Arnie`s prop info seems a bit dated, then outro as the mit-week edition, so despite `Ed Newman` then pointing out that there are two per week, must have been playing the wrong/old one, and 0619 into his `Mailbag`. Something`s always wrong at RHC. But the two last frequencies on air this late both enjoy good modulation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ISRAEL [non]. (9955), WRMI webcast UT Mon Aug 31 at 0400 I check what`s on it after SW turns off: news all about Israel, Gaza, i.e. Israel Radio or whatever they call it now as scheduled for a full hour on WRN web/satcast. But by 0450 or so, wild world music with WRMI ID by BB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA. 7254.9, Aug 31 at 0614, once again no signal from VON, not on 9689.9 nor 11769.9; altho the latter is still being reported in their evenings. But 11770 at 1714 Aug 31 via UTwente only Chinese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2049 monitoring: confirmed UT Monday August 31 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG direct but some deep fades: this week #13 transmitter does not dump off air before 0100. Also confirmed UT Mon Aug 31 at 0130 on WRMI 7780, VG S9+10 via UTwente; also on WRN webcast. Also confirmed UT Mon Aug 31 at 0230 on WRMI 7780, VG S9+20 via UTwente; and also for second week surprise 5800, S9+10/20 via TWR Boa Vista KiwiSDR. Also confirmed UT Mon Aug 31 from 0259.5 on Area 51 webcast; and WBCQ 5130, S3-S7 via Rochester SDR; closing 0328.5 on 5130 direct S9+10 including HSNL. Also confirmed UT Mon Aug 31 at 0330 on WRMI 9955, S9+10/20, no jamming, better than where aimed at TWR Bonaire and Boa Vista. 0358 Maine SDR at S9/+10. As always cuts off the air by 0400* before ID can finish. See also below for 9955 webcast 0400+. Next: Also confirmed UT Mon Aug 31 from 1800.6 on IRRS 7290 via Bulgaria; S9+20 via UTwente with Synch readout as 7293.71 Hz. Autonotch checked somewhat reduces the 7291 warble, but no way to get rid of the heavy splash from 7280 Vietnam and 7290 Iran. Continues intact past 1810. However, tuned in earlier: *1755 carrier on; 1758.4 bumps up power so quieter; 1758.8 JIP WOR already running for a few minutes in Belarus [non] item; 1800 interrupted for quick IRRS ID only, FSN headlines, 1800.6 restart WOR. Next: 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 5800 NEW to SSE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5850 to NW & 5010 to S NEWs Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks for financial support from Eric Lund, Karlsborg, Sweden for a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com - not necessarily US funds as PP will convert One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5950, Aug 31 at 0620, SMTV repetitive music beat suspected of double audio feed but not so obvious until 0623 talk which is horribly duplicated, or is it triplicated. Evidently no one at Okee is monitoring, like no one beyond cares to listen to this cult, as it was thus 24 hours ago; and also in between on 15770 as Wolfgang Bueschel

Re: [HCDX] [WOR] SO: Radio Deegaanka Soomaalida Itoobiya
yes, my proposal - do exact mesuring next monitoring time. Like R Ona for example from the Netherlands, heard here lately Aug 30 on exact 5939.994 kHz in Liverpool in peaks S=4-5 or -93dBm signal strength. "Radio Deegaanka Soomaalida Itoobiya", as the official station of the Ethiopian Somali Regional State. One of the Made in China BBEF Beijing delivered TX units to Ethiopian Telecommunication Government, launched late on June 27, 2017. seemingly this is an industrial ruin? Last appearance of DX press read in March and in May 2018. Always measured by Y.T. on even 5940.000 kHz exact fq. 5940 ETHIOPIA. R. Deegaanka Soomaalida - Jijiga. This relatively new station is still operating here for A-18 in Somali, noted at 1935 UT with talks and instrumental music, a signal on March 28, 2018. Cheers all, Rob Wagner VK3BVW (Rob Wagner-Vic-AUS VK3BVW, via wwdxc BC-DX TopNews March 29, 2018) ETHIOPIA 5940 kHz, R. Deegaanka Soomaalida, Jigjiga. Commentary in Somali at 1843 UT, into a long and lively East African song at 1845 UT. ID at 1852 UT. A good signal with plenty of carrier but the audio level appeared to be down a fair way, 16 May 2018. (Rob Wagner-Mount Evelyn-Vic-AUS VK3BVW, June "ADXNews" magazine of ARDXC; direct via wwdxc BC-DX TopNews May 16, 2018) - - - Also BBEF Made in China txs delivered to Gedja site in June - Dec 2016, like different language services, in Amharic, Oromo, or Tigre, on various 5950, 6030, 6090, 6110 kHz, nearly even in fq then, when the local power grid is kept at the exact voltage. After the new peace agreement launched between Ethiopia and Eritrea, the Clandestine radio service disappeared immediately. I apologise, the recording is very poor from my smartphone next to the speaker. In the headphones the signal was a bit clearer and it did not seem like Portugese to me at the time, it seemed like more like an African accent. Between that and relative power between the the transmitters (as denoted in Aoki) I assumed that a 100kW Ethiopian had a better chance than a 1kW Nederland to arrive at my location at that hour. I do see now that RVM has a 10kW transmitter (and all three are omnidirectional according to Aoki) so Glenn may very well be correct here, as well. I will just declare it UNID until I hear it again (and hopefully get a better recording!) Thank you, Lúcio. What about Casa FM 103.1 MHz: is that also a pirate? http://radiocasafm.com.br/ 73, Mauno Lúcio Bobrowiec via Hard-Core-DX kirjoitti 30.8.2020 klo 19:17: Discussion with a member of Radio Casa by Whatsapp Good Morning. On your website, it is written that you are an experimental AM broadcaster. Do you intend to start a definitive licensed AM station? Start with a frequency in MW or SW? For two years we have been trying to license to broadcast on SW But the Ministry of Communications is no longer licensing new broadcasters in AM.It's quite complicated Why do they want those in the am for extended FM? Precisely because of the migration even Nor are the transmitters factory manufacturing Am And do you find 41m and 75m interesting? Just to let it work not to make a profit BT transmitters said the Ministry of Communications has a project for the company to do tests with transmitter of SW with the DRM system In official terms do you have an experimental status for SW? In practice, yesIn official terms it's illegal nviado do Yahoo Mail no Android Em dom, 30 30e ago 30e 2020 às 2:30, Wolfgang Bueschel escreveu: is that a radio pirate, or even properly registered with ITU recently ? no entry seen in WRTH 2020, pages 113 - 114 - Original Message - From: "Lúcio Bobrowiec via Hard-Core-DX" Sent: Saturday, August 29, 2020 Subject: [HCDX] Audio logs 4005kHz, R.
