Making it almost coast-to-coast as Andy Robins tells me: ``Hi Glenn: I thought you might like to hear how WOR sounds at some distance from the Wentzville, Missouri, "160-Meter Gateway" station on 1860 kHz. The attached recording was made using a KiwiSDR near Zion, Pennsylvania, that has a 220-meter BOG antenna oriented at 60/240°. Reception quality varied from poor to pretty good with a lot of fades, some of which were rather lengthy. On this occasion (UT Sunday, January 3), the program started at 0416. I can't receive WAØRCR here at home. With WTOU 1660 kHz less than two miles away (10 kW day/1 kW night), I must use a mediumwave stop-band filter at all times. That effectively kills 160 meters too, unfortunately.
