Hyvää matkaa! Kestomuistillani muistan jutun DX- Kuuntelija- lehdestä. Juha Hintikka osallistui TRT:n kilpailuun ja kirjoitti siitä artikkelin DXK:n. Siinä artikkelissa hän kirjoitti käynnistään Postissa ja kirjoitti "Kotiin palasi onnellinen mies." Hän voitti TRT:n kilpailuun Turkkiin. DXK:n artikkelissa partainen äijä kuuntelee Turkissa korkean kerrostalon katolla matkaradiolla paikallista antia. Näen kuvan selkeästi uikkarin kuviointeja myöten mielessäni, mutta lehden numeroa tai vuotta en. Nyt nimestä tuli kuvana mieleeni toinenkin Juha Hintikan juttu DXK:n. Nimellä "Tapaus RRI Medan." Hän oli kuunnellut asemaa, mutta vastauksessa raporttia sanottiin vääräksi. Koska taajuus ei täsmännyt heidän mukaan, vaikka Medania kuultiin juuri tuolla JH:n mainitsemalla taajuudella. Ja JH lähetti vastineen, jossa korosti kidekalibraattorin oikeaa taajuutta. Verifiontihan sieltä lopulta tuli. Muistiin voi luottaa. Correxion: the surprise was Sat Dec 4 not Wed; fixed: 15475.98 RCUSB, Sat Dec 11 at 1523 & 1556 chex, NO signal from LRA36 into Brasil remote, despite surprise appearance last Sat Dec 4 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 9700, UT Sun Dec 12 at 0735, RHC English S9+30 here while all other frequencies are off, music show. RHC does feature some good music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ITALY. Advance publicity that AM Italia, 918 kHz would also be broadcasting on LW 207 kHz on Dec 12 to mark the 120th anniversary of Marconi`s trans-Atlantic transmission from Cornwall to Newfoundland. 207 would run 1 kW into a 350-meter wire antenna. Via Noale SDR near Villa Estense, Dec 12 at 0618 UT, traces of a carrier on 207 kHz, while on 918 I hear some tones, and Italian narration about the historical event. S, ... in CW over and over again at 0624. Maybe this is a loop. 0625 brief announcement about this in English, offering QSL. And repeat the Italian. At 0628 on 207 sounds like the same thing, but very poor unreadable there with hashy QRM, and then fast CW QRM, maybe image on that SDR. Some Europeans could hear 207 with difficulty, and the same was also reported on 918; and 1323 kHz, which is not listed in WRTH 2021 as anywhere in Italy. I had Sawa and 4QD on 1548, Lithuania on 1386, Moldova on 1413... and i *might* have had the UAE on 1539. EVerything but 1539 I've heard before and todays reception was noisy and poor, I didnt even keep the recordings. Whatever 1539 WAS, reception was even worse than the rest and no way I would've been able to identify it for sure.
