For the last few days, Andy Reid in Ontario has been reporting noise at 15400, e.g. after 1200 Oct 4 QRMing BBC French. Wolfgang Bueschel doesn`t hear it via numerous remote chex and thinx it be something local to Andy. But: 15400 === well, now I am hearing it, at 1503 Oct 4 when little else is propagating on 19m except Cuba. It is fading slightly, so not local. It`s a rapid pulsing/buzzing, and there is a carrier at the center. Does not sound like any of the local birdies I get, altho I have not tried to turn everything off. Jammer? Not like the ones we know. I see that R Tamazuj via France is scheduled, this hour only. Maybe ISS site out of order? Not otherwise to be heard any programming. But that would be on air only this hour. I suggest everyone look for it before 1600. Monitoring 15400 via UTwente before and after 1600: there is a JBA fading carrier with no change at 1600; cannot detect any of the noise vs the ambient band noise above, on, and below the frequency.
