** AUSTRALIA [and non]. 4835, April 15 at 1232, not even a JBA carrier from Ozy
Radio: that`s because, as Johno Wright informs me: ``4835 kHz has suffered over
heat issues with the power supply --- days on days of 100 F heat cooked the
power supply. Off air till 15th May or more. So what SW station plays decent
pop music? 11th April (Craig Allen via John Wright, Australian Radio DX Club,
0253 April 14)``

Nor is there a 4835 carrier here from AIR Sikkim, but we have another month to
try to hear that. Some Indian carriers are making it such as 5010. And 5055
JBAC presumably 4KZ (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 6100, Sunday April 15 at 1227, RHC with Spanish mainstream
programming, 1236 `Cuba Campesina` music with QRM here from China, but // clear
6060 and 6000. Wolfgang Büschel`s schedule received from Arnie claims 6100 only
carries the separate `Mesa Redonda` TV discussion show at 1100-1300 (daily,
u.o.s.), in addition to live broadcast 23-24 UT Mon-Thu on 6000 & 11950, but I
have my doubts; certainly, not today. The version sent out by the
Correspondence Department also has 6100 at 11-13 under Mesa Redonda but I
thought it was misplaced. Try it on weekdays (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** CUBA. 13569-FM in the ISM band, April 15 at 1330, after a respite yesterday,
RHC 13700-AM transmitter is back in force today spewing a dozen FM spurblobs
all over the 22 mb, and even into the 20mb hamband, oh oh! Along with F# tone,
VG almost fully quieted circa 13633, 13569, 13502; 13767, 13833; also
detectable out to 13436, 13368, 13302; 13900, 13966, 14032, 14100; i.e.
averaging ~67 kHz intervals. 1336 `En Contacto` starts. Hey, Arnie, this would
be a great topic for your show, explaining how and why these occur; yeah,
right. Anyway, I comprehend his lickety-split presentation on one of them
rather than 13700-AM (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** ERITREA. 7140 & 7180, April 15 circa 0300, JBA AM carriers, INTRUDERS amid
the LSB hams, from VOBME, both now sounding close to on-frequency judging from
BFO het pitches, and no DRM noise jamming audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** ETHIOPIA [and non]. 5950, April 15 at 0311, V of Tigray Revolution with HOA
music horribly mixing with Oldies (// L&C 9455) from WRMI`s greatly expanded
new frequency, both weak and still a medium SAH. Leads me to believe that WRMI
is the one slightly off-frequency, as same SAH was being heard earlier when
nothing else is scheduled on 5950 to beat with it. Could that beat be caused by
WRMI running two transmitters on 5950, by mistake? As of 1550 UT April 15, WRMI
skedgrid http://www.tinyurl.com/WRMIfqs still has blank space for XMTR #14
between 0200 and 1100 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** JAPAN. 13720, April 14 at 1835, J-pop is the SSOB at S9+5, even stronger
than 13605 jamming+Martí, and weaker 13845 WWCR. It`s NHK in Japanese at 17-19,
85 degrees from Yamata for CIRAF 14 & 16, which means the Southern Cone.
Incidentally good for Hawaii on the way at 7-9 am local (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA SOUTH [non]. 12065, April 14 at 1839, pop song at S5-S3, yet stronger
than 12050 WEWN, 1842 YL DJ in Russian; 1852 mentions I-phone, various gorods,
cut off at 1859.5* mid-song. Make that K-pop. HFCC shows it`s KBSWR, 1800-1900,
250 kW, 58 degrees from Woofferton UK, since April 4 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTEING DIGEST)

** KUWAIT [and non]. 15535-15540-15545, April 14 at 1833, R. Kuwait DRM in
English is at imaginary level, slightly increased noise above background on
band?

Alexander Busneag, Germany, has compiled this current DRM schedule showing DRM
in use by only 5 stations on SW; truly a failing mode:
http://ab27.bplaced.net/drm.pdf
India suspended its DRM months ago for unclear reasons. HFCC also has some `N`
DRM listings for Bulgaria, China, Germany, Russia, Singapore, most or all
imaginary; not including DRM used for jamming by China, Ethiopia (are you cool
with that, Ruxandra?) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MADAGASCAR. 17640, April 14 at 1834, JBA carrier must be MWV APR in English
here, instead of usual booming signal (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 700, April 15 at 1202, XEGD with full ID, still calling itself `La
Poderosa`, which 5/1 kW is not --- gotta think big, in Hidalgo del Parral,
Chihuahua. Most of the other lowband XEs are fading out by now after our
sunrise 1158 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 640, Sunday April 15 at 1200 UT, KWPN Moore, with `Sunday Morning
Magazine`, pubaffs interview about mosquitos infecting Oklahomans with West
Nile endemic but not yet Zika. Divergence from stupid sports talk every week at
this time when audience is assumed to be minimal. Same show is on 930 WKY,
diverging from stupid sports talk in Spanish, and presumably other FM stations
in cluster, probably not synchronized in separate playouts (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 740, April 15 at 1200 UT as I tune across, no signal, a split
second later, KRMG Tulsa pops on at full 50 kW day power. Day pattern has two
major lobes about 10 degrees CCW from E/W, and 25 kW night pattern quite
similar. Enid is a bit off but at 100 miles distance still mainly covered day
and night. 1200 UT is correct KRMG FCC LSR time for April; May & July will be
1115 UT, and earliest 1100 UT during June (Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** SPAIN. 15520, April 14 at 1850, no signal from REE on what is normally its
best signal opposite from here, nor on 15390. 17855, the supposed North
American frequency, is VP S1, and the other 16m, 17715 is also audible as a JBA
carrier (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1925 monitoring: not confirmed, still no signal Sat
Apr 14 at 2130 on 9330 from WBCQ. Not confirmed next airing either, Sat Apr 14
at 2300 on 7780 WRMI: instead, yet another airing of VORW! That also blows away
HRI at 2330. WRMI skedgrid still shows both of us this hour, but I see has also
added another WOR airing, UT Monday 0130 on 5850 to NW, 5950 to S, 7780 to NE.

WOR still confirmed UT Sunday April 15 at 0200 on WRMI 7780, fair. Also
confirmed on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, UT Sunday Apr 15 0329 at India/International
Waters, i.e. 13 minutes in, so started circa 0316. Next, maybe:
Sun 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Mon 0130 WRMI 5850 to NW, 5950 to S, 7780 to NE [NEW]
Mon 0300v WBCQ 5130v Area 51 to WSW
Mon 0330 WRMI 9955 to SSE
Mon 0400 WRMI webcast only
Mon 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Tue 0030 WRMI 7730 to WNW
Tue 2030 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW [or #1926?]
Tue 2130 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW [or #1926?]

** U S A. 9330v, April 14 at 1829, this WBCQ is still AWOL, no signal. Also
random later chex April 15 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 9462.1 & 9487.9, Sat April 14 at 1830, JBA plus/minus 12.9 kHz spur
carriers out of 9475.0 WTWW with ham program at S9+25; still nothing on 9930,
which used to carry `Theatre Organ in the Ozarx` at this time; signature spurs
indicate the #2 transmitter for 9930 is axually radiating on the #1 frequency,
9475 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7504.981V, Sunday April 15 at 1304, WRNO is still on but playing
English sign-off by Mr Duncan asserting it`s now 4 AM GMT! Schedule as 1-4 AM
only, and good night! Not only is it not night, but resumes huxtering in
Chinese at S9+20/30, still going past 1325 but off at 1410 check. Modulation is
slightly distorted (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1130, April 14 at 1848 UT check, KLEY Wellington KS has resumed its
totally wacko transmission consisting of rapid constant noise bursts, at the
rate of 300/minute or 5/second, and separately, bits of modulation as carrier
cuts on and off at slower irregular intervals. Furthermore, for the first time
I find it off-frequency: at 1130.5, drifting down steadily to 1129.8 by 1849
UT! What a piece of crap this station is; yet sometimes it manages to funxion
normally or is off air completely. It`s licensed for 250/1 watt U3, and
direxional north semicircle. When I hear it to the SW, unseems direxional
either (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
