** ARGENTINA [non]. 9395, April 16 at 2039, JBA music, but by 2045 I do believe
talk is in Italian, implying that the RAE relay in that language is again
funxional via WRMI.

9455 // 9395, UT Tue April 17 at 0100, RAE opening English, extremely informal
announcer mentions 9395 only, and I think refers to another English time as ``3
pm UTC``, on webcast? Program previews do not include DX show, which one would
expect if this were the ``Friday`` program (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** AUSTRALIA. 9685, April 16 at 1246, English talk about immune system, S5-S8;
bet it`s RBA: yes, English segment 1245-1300 only, otherwise Burmese stuff per
HFCC; a poor substitute, or rather no substitute, for RA (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 6100, Monday April 16 at 1234, RHC Spanish // 6060 and 6000, but CCI
only on 6100 from CRI Russian. Need to keep checking 6100 between 11 and 13
whether there is any alternative `Mesa Redonda` programming non // as alleged
in some schedule version (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 13700-AM, April 16 at 1343, RHC today accomplishes not 12 but 14
detectable FMish spurblobs, as always the closest ones decoding clearly in FM
mode, trailing off to the edges where nothing but a trace of the F# tone can be
heard, at approx. 67-kHz intervals: 13767, 13834, 13900 good; 13967, 14034,
14100; 13634, 13569, 13502 good; 13436, 13370, 13302 vs aero comms selcall,
13235, 13169. Something`s always wrong at RHC. Surprised that no one else is
reporting these, as can`t be missed in ordinary bandscanning (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** EAST TURKISTAN. 5959.954, April 16 at 1228, Urumqi poor in Chinese, soon ID
mentioning Xinjiang; one-pip timesignal? about 1230:13. Characteristic
off-frequency, also sometimes making it around our sunset, grayline (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KIRITIMATI. 846, April 16 at 0540, JBA carrier from presumed R. Kiribati.
I`ve also heard carrier here around 1200 UT local sunrise, and Pacificans
confirm that this station leaves carrier on all night now after programming
which had been ending around 0900 or 1000 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** NIGERIA [non]. 5960, April 16 at carrier on a few seconds before *0500, via
ASCENSION, unlike last night`s French sign-on announcement, after some horns
and percussion opening in African language, Kanuri or Hausa? Except for
trilingual greeting: ``salaam aleikum, bonjour, good morning to you all``.
Only ID I could catch was ``Radio International`` as others have reported,
without the name Ndarason being heard, nor Dandal Kura; 0503 into a song (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U K. 11875, April 15 at 1824, something poor in French. It`s BBCWS,
1800-1830, 250 kW, 170 degrees from Woofferton, not much else from Europe on
band at this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. 9950, April 16 at 1400, opening Vietnamese from Washington.
This hour only is IBB TINIAN; 9950 time-shared with Palau, Taiwan and Indian
sites (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1925 monitoring: As noted in last report, no show Sat
April 14 at 2300 on WRMI 7780, instead VORW. Ivo Ivanov points out that VORW
also aired on 7780 during the previous hour, 2200-2300, so maybe the repeat was
a mistake? WOR not confirmed Sunday April 15 after 2330 on 9330: still no
signal from WBCQ.

Confirmed UT Monday April 16 at 0130 on NEW tri-frequency broadcast via WRMI:
poor on 5950, fair on 7780, very good on 5850, as to be expected here by
respective azimuths; 7780 was VG in NB, 5850 VG in AB.

Also confirmed UT Monday April 16 from 0302 on Area 51 webcast, and poorly
audible on WBCQ 5129.8 until 0331. Not confirmed UT Monday April 16 at 0330 on
WRMI 9955, since it`s a JBA carrier, but confirmed on webcast, plus immediate
repeat at 0400 still replacing ZomBiafra on webcast only.

Confirmed Monday April 16 at 2330, good signal is back! from WBCQ 9329.7v. Also
confirmed UT Tuesday April 17 at 0030 on WRMI, 7730, VG S9+30. I hope to have
1926 ready in time, but if not, next 1925s:
Tue 2030 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW
Tue 2130 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW

** U S A. 5950, April 16 at 0530, poor signal with gospel huxter in English,
presumably WRMI Oldies channel as before but during an opt-out (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7490v, UT Tue April 17 at 0100, WBCQ with an `Allan Weiner Worldwide`
playback from when Timtron was hosting it March 2, quite differently than AW
does it. Other days at 0100 it`s usually Blalock the Blaster (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 5830 // much stronger 9475, April 16 at 2037, SFAW on BOTH day and
night frequencies of WTWW-1, a new combination. The higher one has JBA parasite
carriers on 9462.1 & 9387.9, so it`s the ``#2`` transmitter (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15641-USB, April 16 at 1351, weak colloquial Spanish 2-way,
intruders in extended 19m SWBC band (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 0541 UT April 17
