** ANGUILLA. 6090, April 9 at 0615, DGS is on again after missing several
nights (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 15140, April 8 at 1940 check, the first hour of RHC English at 19-20
remains on this frequency for A18. Next English broadcast at 23-24 no longer on
9720 but still on 5040 at 2303 check; quickly found reactivated replacement,
11880 which is VG S9+20/30.

As already found last night, new 6180 ex-6165 is going at 0215 April 9 check,
S9+10 but JBM, // 6000 also JBM, and the JBA voice right now is Arnie.

Meanwhile, the RHC Correspondence Department has sent out the new A-18
schedule, which has now reached all members of the WOR io group, tnx to forward
by Ken Zichi.

Full English sked, in typical disorder:
New York 6060 0500-0700
San Francisco 6100 0500-0700
Chicago 15140 1900-2000
                6180 0100-0700
Washington 6000 0100-0500
                     0500-0700
Banda Tropical 5040 2300-0000
                     0500-0600
Africa 11880 2300-2400

6000 & 6180, April 9 at 0329 are both JBM; while 6060 Spanish is OK. Whether
modulated or not, RHC 6180 between 01 and 05 is bad for neighboring Mexico`s
only SW station, 6185 XEPPM. By 0613, DXUL is starting on undermodulated 6180,
with SAH and CCI from VOA French via S?o Tom? at 0530-0630 M-F; while after
0500, 6165 would have been clear. // 6000 is suptorted; wiggle that patchcord!
And 6060 is OK except for the ZY off-frequency het. At 0616, 6100 is JBM with
hum.

New 6180 means new spots for leapfrog mixing products to land: Mix with 6100
would put it another 80 kHz higher on 6260, but nothing heard, maybe from
different sites. Mix of 6060 with 6180, another 120 kHz beyond at 6300 does
produce a JBA carrier, probably this. Yet another to seek: 6000 over 6180 at
6360.

Now I pick out only the NEW Spanish and various languages frequencies:

 7330 2100-0400 Spanish to Antillas
 7340 1100-1500 Spanish to Antillas
11700 2200-2300 Portuguese to Buenos Aires [sic]
      2300-0500 Spanish to Buenos Aires
11860 1930-2000 French to Europe
      2000-2030 Portuguese to Europe
      2030-2100 Arabic to Europe [sic]
      2100-2300 Spanish to Europa
11880 2200-2230 French to Africa
      2230-2300 Portuguese to Africa
12000 2100-0400 Spanish to Buenos Aires [not a pirate]
13700 1300-1500 Spanish to San Francisco
13740 1100-1400 Spanish to Buenos Aires

Way to go, Arnie, picking two 40 mb which are adjacent to your jamming and 7335
Radio Mart?! But 7330 is NOT on at 0247 or 0325 April 9 chex.

7340, however, is on at 1246 April 9 check, fair signal but siderwhelmed,
adjacent QRM from 7335 Mart? and jamming. How long will this last? RHC would
normally stay at least 10 kHz away from its jammers.

It`s notable that 15370 is gone in the mornings, which means its dozen filthy
FM spurblobs across the 19mb are also gone, good riddance!! 22mb will now be
subject to these, and it has happened at least once before at another daypart,
now out of the 13700 or 13740 transmitter, but none yet.

6100, April 9 at 1256, RHC Spanish in bad mix with Chinese, i.e. CRI in
Russian, Commies vs Commies! The latter off at 1257* leaving RHC until it goes
off abruptly at 1257.6*; still on 6060 and 6000.

13700, April 9 at 1259, RHC open carrier, Ra?l speech continued from 49m cuts
on and off; 13740 at 1300 with IS & ID, keeps modulating with frequency
announcement, a prime time for full info about the QSYs; instead, YL only says
that 11760 will be added at 1500 (it`s already on!), and 6100 is closing ---
that`s it! Nothing about the 13s we are really listening to (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA SOUTH. 5917.400, April 9 at 1251, music and Korean at S4-S6, as Voice
of Freedom has drifted down to here (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MADAGASCAR. 15170, April 9 at 1409, VP S6-S4 tonal language, mention ``Jesus
Christus``. It`s AWR in Sinhala this semihour only. Earlier AWR on 15170 is
Guam; later via Germany (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA [non]. 5850 & 7730, Monday April 9 at 0611, no signals yet from
WRMI, despite 0600 time James Branum previously publicized for his `Broad
Spectrum Radio`. Instead it`s still at 0700, after IS & ID loops as early as
0658. This edition is for the second week of April, about the Oklahoma
teachers` walkout, but starts with music. Says this and all previous episodes
are available on website, which are a bit more convenient than 2 in the Okie
mornings, so I promptly go to sleep.

(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TURKEY. 9515, April 9 at 0328, JBA carrier from presumed Voice of Turkey,
English to North America. Maybe 6165 for Asia would have made it oppositely,
now that RHC has evacuated that frequency? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1924 monitoring: confirmed Sunday April 8 at 2339 the
2330 on WBCQ 9330v-CUSB, fair but somewhat weaker than 9265 WINB and 9395 WRMI.
Also confirmed UT Monday April 9 from 0300 on Area 51 webcast; S9+10 at 0325 on
WBCQ 5129.805. Also confirmed at 0330 UT Monday April 9 on WRMI 9955, S9 with
slow deep fades to S6, much stronger than 9395 & 9455. The WRMI/RAE
webcast-only is also again repeating WOR immediately at 0400 instead of Radio
ZomBiafra. Next:
Mon 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Tue 0030 WRMI 7730 to WNW
Tue 2030 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW [or #1925?]
Tue 2130 WRMI 7780 to NE, 9455 to WNW [or #1925?]

(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. 12050, April 8 at 1952, JBA carrier, much less than normal
from WEWN Spanish, so is it off? Uncovering R. Ndarason International
(ex-Dandal Kura?) via Ascension. Other WEWN, English on 15610 is very poor as
usual (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 17775.088, April 9 at 1405, I notice that KVOH VP carrier is now off
to the plus side, so measure it thus (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6035, April 9 at 1254, S4-S7 music reminds me of the BaBcoCk IS,
but surely not, rather PBS Yunnan, and 1256 Chinese? talk, rather than Bhutan.
Aoki/NDXC shows Bhutan until 1200, Yunnan until 1300, but Ron Howard has
observed wide variations (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6280, April 9 at 0617, JBA trace of modulation as I am looking
for RHC leapfrogs; Europirate here? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9500, April 9 at 0328, S9 carrier of dead air. Nothing listed in
HFCC, except a 22-hpd CNR (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 1635 UT April 9
