Hello:
I am trying to use Vista for a Hospital in India. I am not able to find
the VistaLink component in any of the Vista sites. Could some one please help
me in finding the download site
for VistaLink ?
thanks and regards,

Kevin,
This is not exactly an answer to your question, but for starting mumps,
Bhaskar's vista
script essentially just sets the same variables that you have already set. It
would be
simpler and less confusing to bypass it. You appear to be exporting more
variables than
you need and having some
VistALink software is available via the FOIA release of VistA on CD only, and
you may obtain it that way or from those of us who have distributed it after
receiving the FOIA. In order to get the software at all, we had to agree not
to announce on any public mailing lists that we were

My deepest apology. I am very sorry everyone . I hope I have not caused

I don't know about how to change the caps lock status
in Linux. Would your LUG be able to help?
Thanks

Kevin, this thread helped me along, too. Thanks for

I wasn't sure exactly what Bhaskar's script was

changing the script isn't working... see below:

Well, I am finally to the point where I want to
connect to my VistA system with CPRS. I had so much
trouble with connecting on one of my earlier practice
systems that I have dreaded this step, but here I am.
I think I have all my kernel, rpc etc parameters set
appropriately.
I run the RPC

Can you run netstat on the Linux box to see if the stuff is even getting out
of the windows box. Firewalls in Windows will block it. Fixing the windows
firewall with XP is mention in the CPRSStart doc on Hardhats Start -

Kevin, The most likely cause of the NetCall error that you observed is that
the call to $$NEWJOB^XWBTCPL failed. When this call fails it is most
likely due to a VOLUME SET name conflict between XWBVOL, which takes its

Llyod,
Thanks for your feedback. Here is a screen log of
when I check these things. All seems in order.
If you or anyone else would be willing to connect to
my machine, I could give connection information.
Thanks again

I get back a 1 when I WRITE $$NEWJOB^XWBTCPL.
Looking at the code for XWBTCPL, there are two ways
that reject gets sent back. You already brought up
the first way, and since I am getting back a 1, I
don't think this one is the problem. Below is the
relevent portion of code. The 2nd

Thanks for the pointer r.e. running a routine.
Regarding editors, I really like kate that comes with RH9. It is not as powerful as vim or gvim, but the learning curve is not nearly as steep. :-)
