I appreciate your work on this.

Roy,
Thanks for you help.
I made your suggested change, and no improvement. What you are
suggesting is what was there originally. Someone suggested I try twm
as a desktop instead of kde. But there was no improvement with that
either.
I had vncconfig commented out because it doesn't appear to
Mike,
Thanks for the post. I ran your line of code, and got an error
message out after awhile. The output reminded me of output I got
after running rpm -Va, which a web howto says will veryify all rpm's
on the sytem.
So I ran this rpm -Va, and got a similar error (see below)

Other than the HL7 documentation on the VA website, does anyone know of any resources to help me create a working HL7 interface. It seems to me that you would have pretty in depth knowledge of the database and M language to configure anything HL7. The VA docs assume that you have a fair knowledge

Kevin:
if your ~/.vnc/xstartup looks like this:
#!/bin/sh
exec /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
If will do what stating X does. if you change it to look like this:

xrdb $HOME/.Xresources

I have a RedHat Enterprise 3.4 system running internally at my company and X11 is not
running (since it is a server, but I have it all installed).
So I started vncserver on that.. Here is my xstartup..
[EMAIL PROTECTED] .vnc]# cat /root/.vnc/xstartup
#!/bin/sh
xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
xsetroot
Hurray!
Problem solved.
I had to trace through the vncserver script. Program flow jumped
across several files until finally I found that the file:
/etc/sysconfig/desktop held the following:
DESKTOP=GNOME
I changed this to
DESKTOP=KDE
and all is now working.
Phew! What a job that was!
Nancy told me that an upcoming version of HL7 is to be in XML format.
I hope that will simplify things. Because the documentation I saw for
HL7 made me feel that it was a complex protocol.

Hi,
I just installed Vista-Office and I would like to

We get monthly text files with all drug and procedure

In general terms, is there a way to import all
these claims each month and pre-populate Vista Office?
How do you avoid adding patient
Nancy, if it's not too much to ask. Can we have (or I can put) up this content
as a general overview on the wiki. That way anyone can just point there.

HL7 v3 is XML based but it'll still be complicated. Having HL7 v2
represented with hats ^ and pipes | instead of tags / is not going to
make HL7 any easier.
Here's a great breakdown on the different versions:

I receive the Hardhats digest at about 17.00 local time,
