This question has been asked by others on this board but nobody responded (so I will ask again). Does VistA provide any specific support for Opthalmology? Perhaps some nice templates? Any help would be great. Thanks, Marc

Does VISTA (the VA system) have interface facilities? Can I tell it to dump one patient’s complete information to a sequential file? And can I give it such a file and it loads it (one patient) into the database? Are there subroutines that I can call to do this? Charlie

I have an XML exporter that would dump out the contents of any given file. But a patient's data may be stored of hundreds of files, so a full reporting of all data for a patient may make for a difficult template to setup. Regarding import of similar data, that would be more difficult. What kind
