I think installs is an unsolved problem. The #1 issue with Linux right now. Yum and CentOS is a nightmare. Maybe for RHEL and FC5 too? karan has some apps built for CentOS but FC5 built apps are more generally found. Often you can only get the source and have to build the app itself! The Linux

Kevin and folks: On package handling, Fedora uses yum (short for YellowDog Update Manager). yum (RedHat, CentOS, and Fedora flavors) parallels apt-get (Debian, Knoppix, and K/Ubuntu flavors). man yum will give more details, but if the package repositories in the yum sources file has a
