AIX commands are case-sensitive. Make certain you're using 'setenv/export'
instead of 'Setenv/Export' .

AIX also supports many terminal types
In korn shell:
Export DISPLAY="vt-100"
C shell:
Setenv DISPLAY="vt-100"
The above will set the terminal to a vt-100
There is also a free program called putty, it used for SSH but also
works with telnet.
