So, I have lost all faith in Antec's power supplies. I have three of them
here...two of them have died in the last two weeks. They exist in different
ZIP codes, so it wasn't a surge. Both are behind UPS. The first simply
stopped providing a high +5v rail, the second went snap, crackle, pop, and
100% maybe, not 100x as there are still issues of lack of control
calling JS plugins.
I did find plugin to give me toolbar access for global + some per-tab
enabling Java JS called PrefButtons:

Now if it would just it allow me to set them
Hmm. That sux. I have an Antec Tru 480 sittng here on the floor as my
backup supply. Bought it after reading here and other places that they
were OK, and that Enermax had gone downhill somewhat.
Luckily the older Enermax in the tower is still going strong for now.
So, I have lost all
I've been using a NeoPower480 for a while.

Usually this is related to a codec if the file plays in synch on another
box. WinDVD used to be a big culprit, but I'm sure there are plenty of
others that throw off the synch also. Try playing it on the Divx software
player and see if it is in synch on the same box. I have a few that play
I hope that's not a widespread problem given that I'm looking at using a
550EPS model for a dual Opteron system. I might have to look at an
alternative power supply to suit.
Otherwise, of all the other Truepower units I've used in customers' setups,
no problems at all.

You can't go wrong with a Seasonic S12. I too have the 600W, it's pretty
much a future proof unit with the heavy amped dual 12V lines and the only
150W compliant PCIe connections that I know of (every other ATX12V v2 unit
I've seen only has 75W PCIe connectors).
silentpcreview.com claims the
Antec has also had lots of RMA'd phantom 350's (the fanless, silent units).
They are releasing a 500w unit, wonder how many FUBAR'd units will show up
by then.
