Have an APC 1KVA UPS that sounds like it has a bird trapped inside. For
what seems like no reason it chirps at random intervals. These chirps
even happen when the UPS has NO load plugged in, but it is plugged in and
turned off (indicators on the front panel are all OFF). This UPS was
It seemed like everyone around me was getting a new car, so I felt it was
time for me to get myself something new too. I decided to replace my dual
Athlon MP 2800+ machine. I ordered the following:

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum NForce4 Ultra S939 motherboard
2GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS
Nice kit but you will probably get annoyed fast with the single CPUI
moved to non-hyperthreaded uniprocessors about a year ago, before that it
was always dual CPUs or HTed P4s and I still get annoyed with windows
multitasking on the AMD64 today because of what I was used to

Less than three years old? Yes it could be the battery, but I believe it is

Battery life is dependant on environment. I find here in Tucson you can
normally get 3-4 years, but sometimes it's as low as 2 years.
Take a look at www.batterymart.com for replacements at a good price.

core parts for myself. I'm still using a Athlon 2600 XP on a nForce 2
chipset and figured it was time to upgrade. Especially my Ti4400
video card :)
Even if you do end up missing your dual CPUs (which I doubt) you won't

What about MWave? I am about to order a new system and both newegg and
zzf are out of stock (Shuttle SN25P, must be popular). I have ordered
from mwave in the past but their reseller rating seems to be slipping.
Any reason I should be concerned? Another vendor I should consider?
Thanks

I'd consider those.
(unless you need a 3700+.. I have a 3700+ SanDiego that needs a home now
