I do not care for the noise. I do 'quiet' PC's now.
BTW, all the PSU rails are still within tolerance. The fan is shot!

I have never taped over them myself on the PS's I have had. I really do not see
the reason to put tape on them, unless you get a dirty case and there is more
than average dust flying around in there.

Over the years, I have had spotty luck just replacing a 'fan.'
I'd rather stream the old psu to someone who does not hear
so well.. :)
Besides, this PCPC 610w PSU came to me in 2008 with
a 're certification notice'. This was a reason for buying a pair
of Seasonic psus in 2010.
