Steve,
The interesting thing with i5-750 is overclockable. My i5-750 is
able to run at 3.6GHz daily use, and the i7-920 3.3GHz daily. Of
course all need HSF upgrade to Xigmatek Red-Scorpion.
I haven't tried Core-two-Duo Quad-core previously, so dunno the
increment with the new one. My
HDD today is cheap. Why don't you try an e-SATA port, or use the
available SATA port to connect another HHD, then backup the whole
things to the drive.
My backup experience start from
- CD-ROM
- DVD-ROM
- USB HD
- now SATA Drive

Have fun and enjoy your new SSD
I don't think you can upgrade your RC to the Original. I've tried
from RC to RTM and it's fail.
But, maybe I'm wrong.

The problem with waiting...is that I really will be waiting..on a

Too late. My SSD
The lowest Power Factor usually comes from motor (Aircon, Refrig),
transformer (neon lamp, radio, TV, PC)
But todays equipments are designed with Green in mind. Yes they are
not perfect with 1.0 power factor, but at least 0.8 or more.
So if we are still running a lot of old equipments, then
DFI DKx58 for i7-920, Win 7(64-bit)
ASUS P55D for i5-750, Win 7(64-bit)
I haven't tried on my old system
ABIT AB9-Pro for D925, Win 7(64-bit)
ABIT AB9-Pro for E6600, XP-Pro (32bit)

Which mobo are you using? Thanks.
I left only one PC that still using Win XP Pro compatilbily reason
with some old applications. The three others are Win 7 systems and
with them I can mount/unmount the drive. I use what Win 7's
Disk-Manager calls it dynamic format, then the drive will be called
foreign drive.

Is SureThing the way to go for Lightscribe and Printable labeling? I
am thinking about buying this.
It's good, but you'll have a hardtime to calibrate the printer to the
formated label paper,
