QB 2016 said it required updated permissions
on start and of course had to re do manifest
file reg entry.
went ahead and restored 1803 for now, more
testing.
maybe it is telling me I'm too old for games :-)
or I need new games:'(

So far, the only
on install of 1809 and reset of 1803 on re
boot system added a drive letter to EVERY
partition in the system which completely
fubared the network, easily fixed but WTF.
only had to remap one drive (twice), all the
others fell in line when drive letters removed.

So far, the only problems I have seen are QuickBooks 2018 Pro and a corruption
of the Temporary Internet Files Folder (Outlook did not display pictures.)
Other than that all other programs and settings are good.

so far only seems to be bad when I play this
one game, error code thru a .dll that implies
related to my Eset AV.
probably work out. gonna mess with other
games today to see what shakes.
with every one of these major builds it kills
my registry entry for manifest files so I
have to redo that
The update yesterday went well, but today after logon my profile
disappeared and it was completely new, wow! All data from my (old) profile
are gone...
I searched the whole disk and nothing.

Ok I have new in March 3018 NUC. It is a real quad core Celeron / 8
GB of crucial DDR4 and a new HGST Travelstar 5K1000 1TB 5400 RPM 8MB
Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s. 2.5. This is my TV media box for watching and
recording video. OS is Win 10 PRO and the only other thing I have
installed is VLC and HD
I've found reverts to be pretty good, so if it comes to that it's likely
worth a try. That said, it's likely worth doing the standard drivers,
firmware updates on everything, not just video cards.

group being gone. don't use that.
