Because I am going to Spain later this spring, I have been seeking
information online about the Jews in Spain. A source that should answer
these questions is : Chaya's Sephardic World, in which the writer has
adopted the persona of a Jewish woman in medieval times. I no longer have

Can anybody recommend a book that describes everyday domestic Jewish (home)
life in America, c. 1918?
I'd like to know what roles Jewish men and women played in the home. For

folding laundry)?
Thanks if anybody can help.

I don't know if the book, Haven, about WWII Jewish
refugees brought to America, is what the original
questioner was looking for, but I just wanted to note
that there was a TV movie a while ago based on this
book, which might be available on video or DVD.

I would like more information about amazon.com's list
of Jewish best sellers. Who is Dana the Temple
Librarian who prepares the list? How often is the
list updated?
Is is truly based on amazon's best selling Jewish
titles?
If anyone knows, I would appreciate an off-list
reply.
