Dear colleagues: I wrote to you a couple of weeks ago updating you on our progress concerning the 44th annual convention of AJL to be held in Chicago, July 5-8, 2009, Sheraton Chicago, North Water Street http://www.sheratonchicago.com/ We already have a great program (almost) in place and are working on all the other aspects of the convention: exhibits, visits, etc. If you were thinking of submitting a proposal but have postponed doing it, now is the time. The deadline is Dec. 1st a few days after the Thanksgiving vacation. To enhance the program we need AJL members to volunteer to be program moderators and session chairs. Thank you to all the members who have so graciously volunteered. If you haven't, please let us know how you would like to participate. We would be very grateful for your input.
