Dear Librarians: I am retiring after 12 years from Westwood College in two weeks. I have back pain and right shoulder-arm pain and anxiety problems. I have a question. I have been using an automation program called Surpass and Copycat. Is there a program where you can scan the UPC code on the back of the book and the marc record comes up with the Elezar number to send to the catalog? I plan to catalog some reform synagogue libraries when I get healthy. My husband will build me an automation program. He is a retired engineer-programmer.
