Ted Koppel makes some very important points in his posting on the future of the
AJL Newsletter. His comments suggest that we ought to be thinking of
how to ensure
the preservation of Jewish digital resources. Is there an institution that has
undertaken to maintain a perpetual archive of these?

I am aware of various initiatives to preserve digital resources, such as Hathi
Trust and the arrangement between Elsevier and the Dutch Royal Library. But I
suspect that there are many Jewish publications that aren't included in these
projects. I would be delighted to learn that the Jewish library community has
already anticipated this problem and begun to deal with it; but if that's not
the case, isn't it time to start thinking about this?
