Levy To: Child Lit Sent: Tuesday, February 02, 2010 11:26 AM Subject: [child_lit] TAR: MS/HS Jewish Resources (books/websites) Hi, I am looking for good reliable (of course) resources for my middle and high school teachers on Jewish holidays, mainly Shabbat and Passover for March. We have a very diverse population. We are hoping to be able to show the students what is involved with Shabbat (lighting the candles, etc) and possibly a Passover Seder. I am Jewish (reform) but I don't have anything up to date in books, (even though they don't change much over the years). I am looking for books and websites for teachers to use. I don't think any of the teachers who will be presenting these topics are Jewish and will probably need some basic background information. I'm sure the students in the classrooms will be helping and we are hoping a parent or two will be willing to come in as well to help. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will post a hit. TIA!
