Amy's temple and library program sound a lot like ours at Wise Temple in Cincinnati, right down to the Chelm stories and my encouraging the kids to tell their family a Chelm story around the Shabbat Table. Plus our rabbis and congregants are so supportive and proud of our temple library of 22k

Toby, this is such a sad assessment. Apparently my own experience as a Reform synagogue librarian is unique. I am salaried (based on an annual contract for a particular number of hours per year), have a book and services purchasing allowance that is part of the Temple budget, work closely with
