Dear Friends,

I will be presenting on new Israeli literature in translation for the American
Jewish University "B'Yachad Together<https://www.aju.edu/byachad-together>"
Program on Wednesday, October 14 at 2:30pm PT/4:30pm CT.
Lost (and Found) in Translation: New Israeli Literature in English
It's an established fact in the literary world that Americans just aren't that
motivated to read fiction in translation. Only three percent of all books
published in the United States each year are in translation but the small
number of books being translated from Hebrew has been steadily increasing.
We'll discuss some of these new books that are now available to those of us who
aren't quite fluent enough to read them in their original Hebrew as well as
trends in Israeli literature and books written in English by native Hebrew
speakers.
This is an updated version of the presentation that I gave at the 2019 AJL
Conference in Woodland Hills. I would love to see some familiar faces on my
screen (but no pressure since there is a registration cost!)
To sign-up, go to

Note: The deadline to register is Thursday 10/8, after which a late fee applies.

Moadim L'Simcha! I hope you are enjoying a beautiful & bountiful Sukkot!
