The Ramaz School is a co-educational, Modern Orthodox, independent school 
located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Ramaz has a rich history of Jewish

The Ramaz Middle School is seeking a Middle School Librarian for grades 5-8. 
Our librarian supports our school community in reading, research and book day 
programming. We are looking for an experienced educator with a passion for 
literature, who is dynamic and engaging. and candidate with a strong math 
background and experience working with Middle School

Responsibilities

  *   Curate our Middle School collection of books and resources, including 
fiction, non-fiction, reference materials, etc.
  *   Provide reading guidance to students and families
  *   Stay current with publishing trends and best practices in school libraries
  *   Maintain digital library of databases and e-materials
  *   Teach research skills to 5th-8th grades
  *   Maintain good professional and collaborative relationships with colleagues
  *   Commit to personal growth through active participation in professional 
development

Qualifications

  *   A love of literature for middle school readers
  *   A collaborative, flexible and engaging approach
  *   Proficiency with reference and information literacy
  *   Middle School experience and MLS, MIS or equivalent degree preferred
  *   Knowledge of Hebrew language and Judaic Studies preferred
