Judy,
Thank you for this helpful information. Is there any reason to prefer one of
the airports. ?
Also, on order to plan the flight home, I would like to know how long a cub or
shuttle takes from the hotel to the airport ?
Happy holiday,
Amalia

GROUND TRANSPORTATION from Houston Airports
SuperShuttle (www.supershuttle.com)800-258-3826. (both Hobby Airport (HOU)
and Bush International Airport (IAH).
*Reservations are not required from the airport, but are advised for faster
service.
* SuperShuttle has counters at baggage claim at both Hobby and Bush. There
are counters for Supershuttle in all the terminals at Bush. Arriving
passengers should go to the counter to check in.
* The cost for one person round-trip to the Hilton Houston Post Oak is $52.00
for Bush and $50.00 for Hobby. One way is $27.00 for Bush and $26.00 for
Hobby.
* Reservations can be made online, or by calling 800-258-3826. Credit or
debit required for phone or online reservations; cash accepted at airport
desk, but it sounded as if they might prefer credit or debit.
*Reservations can be canceled up to four hours prior to the reserved time
with no charge.
Cabs -Hobby
*Cabs are available at Curb Zone 3 outside of the baggage claim area in the
lower level.
*All destinations within the Houston city limits are charged according to a
flat zone rates or the meter rate, whichever is less. The zone rate to the
hotel (Galleria area) is $54.50 from 6am-8pm, $55.50 8pm-6am. The rates are
the same weekdays and weekends. City ordinance authorizes the driver to add
a $2.75 departure fee to the total fare. Fares are accurate as of March 20,
2013.
* Two or more passengers going to the same destination are to be charged one
fare. Senior citizens can get a 10% discount.

METRO BUS www.ridemetro.org 713 635-4000
Houston’s public transportation system is not first class, but it is possible
to take it to get to the hotel. It is highly recommended that you plan ahead
to verify schedules the day you travel.
Hobby Airport- Metro bus
*The #73 Bellfort Crosstown Westbound bus goes to Post Oak and Westheimer.
The bus runs about every 30 minutes from the airport seven days a week.
This stop is about 1/3 mile walk or connect to the #33 on Post Oak north to
the hotel. The #33 runs every 20 minutes during the week and 40 minutes on
the weekend.
It’s likely it will be hot outside, so be advised. * The cost is $2.00 each
way. Travel time is about 90 minutes.
Bush Airport -Metro Bus
*The # 102 bus goes to downtown from Bush, Terminal C. It is necessary to
change at Milam and Rusk for either the #81 bus or #82 bus and get off at
Post Oak and Westheimer. Buses run about every 40 minutes seven days a week.
Travel time is about 2 hours.
You can walk the 1/3 mile north on Post Oak to the hotel or connect to the
#33 bus. Again, with the heat and luggage, be advised.
* The cost is $2.00 each way.
