ABOUT CHOICE E-COLLECTION

CHOICE E-Collection is a joint project of CHOICE, PublishersRow.com, and a
growing number of University Presses and other publishers to help librarians
in selecting appropriate titles for their college digital libraries.

CHOICE, a publishing unit of the Association of College & Research Libraries
(a division of the American Library Association) is the premier source for
reviews of academic books used in higher education.

More than 35,000 librarians, faculty, and key decision makers rely on Choice
magazine and Choice Reviews Online for collection development and scholarly
research. CHOICE reaches almost every undergraduate college and university
library in the United States.

Only one out of four titles sent to CHOICE for review is actually selected
for review, i.e. out of more than 25,000 titles received, only about 7,000
reviewed.

CHOICE's mission is to review books for college libraries. Among the many
strengths of the current collection are film/media, women's studies, African
American studies, performing arts, and literary criticism.

PublishersRow.com is one of the oldest eBook promotion and sales platform
powering books of several hundred publishers today. Publishers Row has
created a prototype of PDF eBooks for Adobe Systems.

CHOICE E-Collection is a boutique approach to building a great digital
library. Starting initially small, it is highly valuable and growing every
month with a projected increase of several thousand titles every year.

PARTICIPATING PUBLISHERS

The current CHOICE E-Collection includes the best of titles published by
McFarland, Wesleyan University Press, Cork U. Press, Vanderbilt, M.E.
Sharpe, University of Missouri, and University Press of Mississippi.

More CHOICE-reviewed titles are in the process of being added from Boydell &
Brewer, Rowman & Littlefied, Jason Aronson, Lexington Books, Taylor Trade,
University Press of America, AltaMira Press, Berman Press and others.

LIBRARIES

Despite being only a few month old, CHOICE E-Collection is being purchased
by a rapidly growing number of academic libraries like Indiana State
University, St. Norbert College, American Jewish University, Lynchburg
College, Nichols State University, and others.
