Popular social media standbys, like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram
are a good start but other free or low-cost web-based tools also have the
potential to save time while boosting outreach. In this informative workshop,
librarian and academic technology coordinator Ludwig explains how to use new
and traditional tech tools to help you draw attention to programs and services.
Topics include:
* What new tools such as Scoop.it, Learnist, Weebly, and Branch can
do for you
* How to select the right tool and media platform for your audience
* Understanding your options and planning strategically
Sarah Ludwig is the Library Department Chair and Academic Technology
Coordinator at Hamden Hall Country Day School, CT and former teen and reference
librarian at Darien Library. She is an instructor for Simmons College's
continuing education program and has spoken at both local and national
conferences. She blogs for ALA TechSource and writes for VOYA's Tag Team Tech
Column.

[SLG: Since this falls on the last day of the conference, perhaps a few members
would like to give this a try. Again, group rates apply.)
