Hello friends, We are very excited that the Sydney Taylor Book Awards will be announced this year as part of the American Library Association's Youth Media Awards.
The announcement will be on Monday, January 28th, at 8am Pacific time. It will at the American Library Association Midwinter conference in Seattle. Here's a list of all the ALA awards that will be announced if you want to follow along: http://www.ilovelibraries.org/booklovers/youth-media-awards The Sydney Taylor Awards will be announced in the beginning of the press conference by the ALA President along with awards from the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association and the American Indian Library Association. The three Sydney Taylor medal winners will be announced at the press conference. The full list of winners, honors, notables and the manuscript award- along with press releases- will be available shortly after the announcement on the AJL website. I will also post the list of winners to Hasafran. The press conference is always fun to follow on Twitter.
